We organise and deliver Bronze, Silver and Gold walking expeditions and training across the U.K.
Our focus is on developing and maintaining high quality standards in everything we do. Highlights of our provision include Gold in the remote Cambrian Mountains and Silver in North Pembrokeshire

What makes us different to other expedition providers?

Real, local knowledge of the wild country areas of South & Mid Wales – Y Bannau Brycheiniog (Beacons), Elan Valley and Cambrian Mountains – most of our team live and work in these areas every day.
We don’t insist on 7 participants per group to minimise group numbers – we’d rather friendship teams working together
All our prices include VAT, with no hidden extras
Route planning completed well before the expeditions take place – all routes checked by our team
Staff teams who have worked together on numerous expeditions, some for more than 10 years, adding extra consistency and maintaining fair standards across the board

Just a little note to say a big thank you for making the Gold expedition this week possible: I know how much work goes into the organisation and smooth running of these fantastic experiences. My daughter was very tired on Friday morning, so come Sunday, I had braced myself for picking up a dishevelled and even-more-tired daughter. I just wanted to personally thank everyone on the team as you guys were genuinely amazing and I'm really looking forward to meeting back up with you for the real expedition. A massive thanks to our instructor who was there to support our weaker members when times got tough, we honestly can't wait to see you guys again

The highlight of my role last year (apart from seeing the students challenge and enjoy themselves) was the EW team. You support young people to learn and achieve with professionalism and good humour - no mean feat..

As we normally run our own expeditions in house we have high standards we wish to maintain. This they did to a very high standard. Even though we had a large cohort they took our requirements in their stride and put together an excellent and well thought out expedition. We were so satisfied we have booked again for the coming year.

Thank you for all the trouble you went through to make our trip amazing! I had some feedback from parents and they are very impressed by the level of organisation the fact that their children felt safe and pushed themselves to the limit 🙂 I had a few comments about how much the students had learnt about themselves. I was really impressed by the level of professionalism and experience of your team.

I completed my Gold D of E expedition with Expeditions Wales and had a fantastic time! I had a great leader and learnt so many new skills. I enjoyed my practice expedition with Expeditions Wales so much that I went back for my assessment. I would recommend Expeditions Wales to anyone.
